Ode to The Denim Jacket

There's nothing like a great denim jacket to get you through every season. Wear it with everything you own and let it be your ultimate staple.

Your LBD, your classic white button down and your go-with-everything black pants wouldn’t be nearly as transitional without your trusty denim jacket. You can wear it with a ball gown or distressed denim cut offs. You can wear it over your sundress in spring or under your warm alpaca cardigan in autumn.

The denim jacket is the ultimate staple.

The denim jacket has this subtle way of saying “I don’t care” in a Joan Jett sort of way while at the same time working as a practical part of your wardrobe. Not only does it keep the chill off your back but it also can easily tie around your waist when the sun comes out which, might I add, is not a claim that all jackets can make (and they know exactly who they are.)

Plus, the older and more worn it gets, the better.

How am I wearing my denim jacket today? With my yoga pants and Birkenstocks because that’s suddenly an acceptable outfit when you have a denim jacket. True story. The denim jacket accepts you for whoever you are.

    • Nice touch! I’ve considered doing something similar but I can’t commit! I think I need a backup denim jacket to do something like that with and then keep my other one plain. Or maybe I need 5 more.
